Predicted outcomes

I've decided to create my project proposal in a form of a website as I wanted everything in my project to have modern, futuristic feel to it. Website is more sustainable and can be accessed anywhere and from any device and we're not waisting any paper.  Building a website for my project proposal also encouraged me to learn a new skill.

 My aim is to create applique in more sustainable way. I also intend to experiment with pattern cutting to create futuristic forms with more abstract focus. I intend to design a 6 outfit capsule collection of which I will make 4 of outfit designs. I would like to be able to show these at Graduation Fashion Week. My designs will represent fusion of technology and traditional craftsmanship inspired by architectural, straight, sharp and edgy forms. I really enjoy experimenting with different techniques and using their possibilities. In my designs I would like to use technologies like 3D printing as well as laser cut to create unique abstract silhouette. Laser cut is a technique I've been working with before and I find it very inspirational. By using laser cut I would like to turn my projects of architecture into laser cutter pattern. I really like learning new techniques and challenging myself, that's why I decided to learn how to operate 3D printer and its corresponding modelling software. It's going to be very challenging but I think through the experimentation and learning through my mistakes I will gain motivation to work harder on the collection and push my boundaries to the maximum. The use of 3D printed elements in my collection is going to be a strong feature and will add innovative look to the collection. My aim is to create applique in more sustainable way.
